The History of Almond Tea

This Tea has been a staple tea at Atkinsons for decades. It’s potent aroma means that it warrants a separate scented scoop when weighing out so as not to contaminate other non scented teas. Our Almond tea is made up of real pieces of Almond as well as scented oil which, when combined with a large leaf black china tea provides a balance of sweetness, bitterness and body. This tea is popular around Christmas time with a warming, festive flavour but is enjoyed by people year round.

This tea combines the health benefits that can be found in black tea with almonds. Almonds are thought to improve heart health, aid digestion and boost energy. Black tea is packed with antioxidants, flavonoids and polyphenols, helping protect your body from infections and illness.

Brewing Tips

We recommend brewing this tea with boiling water for 2-3 minutes with 1 teaspoon per cup. With a sweet, fragrant aroma this almond tea tastes great on its own but we think it tasted best with splash of milk. Expect a dark amber liquor when brewing black similar to a robust breakfast tea.

Brew Ratio : 1tsp / 3g per cup / 200ml

Temperature : 98C

Brew Time : 3 minutes

Delicious black or with milk
