This Chinese Sencha tea offers some subtle sweetness combined with a faint vegetal and toasty flavour. The soft mild taste of this green tea is the result of only using the larger middle leaves, which contain less caffeine. Unlike the richer, Umami notes found in Japanese Sencha, the Chinese version has a slightly sweeter flavour.

Lighter coloured leaves are the result of Pan Frying as opposed to the Japanese method of steaming. Both retain a lot more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than black teas resulting in a tea with loads of health benefits. Get it in Teabags if you need a green tea fix in a rush.
